Quote of the Month: Open the window in the center of your chest and let the spirits fly in and out. Rumi
(My theme for this year’s A to Z Challenge is Open.)
Millie and Willie Cottonpoly, a sock puppet creation, are here to tell you their story during the April A to Z Blogging Challenge.
Willie, Mr. Happy, and Millie hanging out on a White Tail Deer Scull with an Artic fox tail.
Millie: You’ll have to admit, Mr. Happy, this is an unusual place to hang your hat.
Mr. Happy: I like to call it unique.
Willie: I think it’s kind of cool.
Millie: Not everyone likes hanging off of deer antlers, several feet above the ground.
Mr. Happy: I like to think of it as having a good vantage point for when the boys bring in more food.
Willie: I think it’s kind of cool.
Millie: A person can feel vulnerable displayed out in the open like this. Anyone could stop by and hear and see everything.
Mr. Happy: I like to think of it as providing a public platform that’s entertaining to the masses.
Willie: I think it’s kind of cool.
Millie: Well, I’m not comfortable up here.
Mr. Happy: I like it.
Willie: I think it’s kind of cool.
Millie: Willie is clearly mesmerized by this life style. I am not. I’m going home to read a book and take a bath.
Mr. Happy: Do what you like.
Millie: I will.
Willie: Sometimes, friends have to agree to disagree. Change the subject or walk away.
Millie: Are you going to stay up there all night with Mr. Happy?
Willie: I think it’s kind of cool.
(Willie and Mr. Happy sing a round of I’ve been working on the railroad, but not until Millie has left the room.)

Journaling Prompt: What do you have to agree to disagree on with a friend?
Great “O” post. Enjoyed the read.
Yvonne.
I did my O post on opinions, too!
It is a great place to hang out, if, you’re not scared of heights. 🙂
I love the Rumi quote!
And the best thing about having friends is that whether you agree with them all the time or not, they’ll always be there.
Cute post!
LOVE the Rumi quote! And loved the story 🙂
LOL. I think it’s kind of cool too. =) This post made me think about getting out there, how uncomfortable it can be for some people, and how others see it as an opportunity to shine. Love it!
Hi! I think there’s room for more than one way to do things. Would be kind of boring if there weren’t.

That’s sooo cute, hanging off of deer antlers. I’d never thought of that, but, you know what? You’ve got a children’s book here. Yes indeedie! Write on!
It’s nice that we don’t all have to be the same, think the same, etc. It’s the spice of life.
Yeah, most of us guys would be Willie.
Willie seems to be stuck in a groove! 🙂
Being open to them being extroverts can be a challenge especially at meetings as I sit there wondering why they have to think out loud
I always was the first to climb to the highest spot, from my youngest years. Guess I always liked the view, and wanted to see as much of the world as I could. But I did fall a couple times, broke a few bones. Would I trade it? No. And now I’m finding my daughters also like seeing things from up high. It’s an amazing place to be. Keep up the great sock chat, Mary, and if I can be there to catch you during those rough descents, don’t be afraid to yell out an S.O.S. 🙂
Clever post. Yeah, agree or disagree, we can still be friends.
Enjoying the show.
Silvia.
