Quote of the Day: Is God on Facebook, yet? Jim Gaffigan
I checked, and I’d say that God is not on facebook. You can “like” God. You can sign up for Messages from God, but I’m not exactly sure who does the typing for those. I’ve asked my pastor friends several times to share God’s email, but they say they don’t have it. So, I’ve come to the conclusion that God doesn’t send messages via social networking websites. I was asked this weekend, “How do you hear God’s voice?” God speaks to me through the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Thankfully, Facebook isn’t the only place to find Him!!! :O)
A lively, God-filled post! Great pictures. I love it. I’m glad that God isn’t on Facebook and I’m sorry I spend so much of my time there 🙂 This post reminds me that I should seek God more in my quiet room, not get lost in chatter, although God speaks through people, too.
Nice photos, Mary. I feel like I’m back there again. Thanks for bringing me along. 🙂
Really glad God is not on Facebook, because I’m not either!
It’s pretty amazing what an open heart, mind and eyes can bring to us …
I find the Holy Spirit whispers to me in nature, especially through water (rain, showers, rivers, baths, lakes, ocean) Thanks for bringing that out!
Love the photo of you and Angie making music…I know it sounded inviting and beautiful. Great job!
Nice reminder to look for God throughout the day and in small things!
So, so true, Mary. We have to learn to listen carefully for that still, small voice of the Holy Spirit. I find His leading daily, thank God, in small ways.
Love the photos. 🙂
There are days I really wish it were as easy as God being on Facebook!
Lately I find myself listening more intently than ever before for his voice, for his words…I’d rather he whisper than shout, but sometimes his shouting is more effective.
All I know is I’m ever thankful he’s there. 🙂 And that he’s brought me so many special blogger friends from around the world.
Thanks for this post!
I believe God is on facebook in the way God is in all of us. But yes, sometimes as clear status update would be helpful. . .I sense the Holy Spirit when I’m making art, when I’m singing, and when I am listening to jazz.
Beautiful post, Mary.
Thanks for posting the photos, Mary. It was a great weekend. Thanks for your part in it, especially the journaling inspiration.
Blessings,

Maybe not but I have been amazed the outreach the blog has given me. There are so many hurting souls out there with an emptiness that cannot be filled with earthly things.
I’m just thrilled you got to go to the retreat and fellowship with other believers.
God bless ya sweetie and have a most beautiful day!!! :o)
ha ha that’s funny! someone created a facebook page for God?
