I’m pleased to announce that I am once again partnering with Central Lakes College Theater Department to offer Youth Theater Workshops in the Brainerd Lakes area this summer. Here are the details.

Life is also like a game of tug-o-war! Summer Play off the Page Theatre Workshop

SUMMER 2021 YOUTH THEATER WORKSHOPS
CLC Theater Department is partnering with Mary Aalgaard, Play off the Page, to offer Youth Theater Workshops this summer on the outdoor stage of the CLC campus. Cost for the workshop is $60 per student.

July 26-30 Students entering 1st – 4th grades meet from 10:00-noon. Students will work on acting skills and games, create props, and write a play together under the guidance of playwright Mary Aalgaard. We’ll create our play around the theme of camping and exploring along the Mississippi River. On the final day, Friday, students will have a performance for family and friends. We will record the performance to make it available to view online.

August 2-6, Students entering 5th – 9th grades will meet from 10:00-noon. Students will work on acting skills and games, create props, and write a play together under the guidance of playwright Mary Aalgaard. We’ll create our play around the theme of camping and exploring along the Mississippi River. On the final day, Friday, students will have a performance for family and friends. We will record the performance to make it available to view online.

Mary Aalgaard is a playwright and piano/theater teacher, living in the heart of Minnesota. She writes theater reviews and supports the arts through her blog Play off the Page. She teaches youth theater workshops, writes articles for regional magazines, and works with both seniors and youth in multi-generational programs to enhance quality of life and build community.
