Quote of the Day:Â Two quotes by Robert Frost
Like a piece of ice on a hot stove the poem must ride on its own melting.
I never write except with a writing board. I’ve never had a table in my life. And I use all sorts of things. Write on the sole of my shoe.
The sole of my shoe, now THAT’S a unique place to journal! Here are a few more shots from my trip up North, beauty along the Pembina Gorge.
A Path
Lingering beauty as the Earth goes dormant.
Preparing for Winter
Stark Beauty
Watching the sun set.
Go. Create. Inspire!
Journaling Prompt:Â Take some time this weekend to examine the simple beauty in your world. Take photos, write notes or a poem, create a setting, reflect, breath, paint, enjoy.
Writing anywhere on my shoe would be difficult!
I love seeing life through the lens and being inspired by the view … Happy Friday, Mary!
Love the quotes. The ice melting journey is a great visual! :O)
I have always been inclined to find the highest spot on which to look out and observe the world. As a child, this got me several broken bones, but it was worth it. 🙂
I always like seeing those big roles of hay out in the fields. As a joke, someone around here once stuck a pair of fake legs — complete with jeans and cowboy boots — out of the middle of one of those big rolls. Made me laugh every time I drove by it.
Sometimes you get desperate and an idea wants to be written down. I suppose the sole of a shoe would work, but I’d have to carry the shoe then.
