Backstory to One More Minute

Quote of the Day: I’ll share the sweet badge that Sammie Butler created. She did badges for each of the short stories featured in Tick Tock: A Stitch in Crime anthology. Her story is Three O’Clock Execution.  One of the best things about having my story in an anthology is the collaborative effort of all the authors to promote our book. I am thrilled to be featured on C. Lee McKenzie’s blog today. Her story Heartless is set in the past, includes socialites, tea, a crazy neighbor, and a devastating fire.  The main character in my story One More Minute...

Review of Familiar at the Guthrie Theater

Quote of the Day: They have no idea what it is like to lose home at the risk of never finding home again, have your entire life split between two lands and become the bridge between two countries. Rupi Kaur, Milk & Honey (quotes found on Buzzfeed (of all places) 21 Of the Most Powerful Things Ever Said About Being an Immigrant, with surprisingly positive comments.) Review of Assassins at Theater Latte’ Da

Quote of the Day: Composer Stephen Sondheim and book-writer John Weidman have crafted a complex piece of musical theater that defies convention – presenting us with glimpses into the lives of presidential assassins and would-be assassins in a revue-like structure that challenges our assumptions about what makes America a great nation. Quote of the Day: There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy. Hamlet to Horatio in William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. This play has so many great quotes: The Queen doth protest too much. There is something rotten in the state of Denmark And, above all else, to thine own self be true. Get thee to a nunnery! Madness in great ones, must not unwatched go. Too Be, or not to be…whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer. The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles....

Review of Newsies at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres

Quote of the Day: Newsies Stop the World headline from Disney’s Newsies, the Broadway Musical, on stage at The Chanhassen Dinner Theatres through September 29, 2018. Newsies, the Broadway Musical, is based on the historical strike of 1899 when newsboys went on strike to protest unfair treatment and price hikes that they were forced to absorb. Boys as young as 10-years-old peddled the “papes” and sold them for newspapers like The World and The Journal. Some Newsies were girls, but they had to be at least 16-years-old to sell the papers on the streets. Their famous strike inspired a movement...
