reconciliation with her father, even a child on the way. But she was never
meant to stay. It broke her heart, but Alexia heeded destiny and traveled five
hundred years back to stop the Soulless from becoming.
In the thirteenth century, the Holy Roman Church has ordered the Knights Templar to
exterminate the Passionate, her bloodline. As Alexia fights this new
threat—along with an unfathomable evil and her own heart—the Soulless genesis
nears. But none of her hard-won battles may matter if she dies in childbirth
before completing her mission.
Can Alexia escape her

1. What draws you to writing and reading fantasy?
Other than cheese? Dreams. MOONLESS came from a dream initially. Also, as an artist (sketch, cartoon, etc), give me a great picture and my mind goes wild. Music. I write it, sing it, adore it.But most of all, my family. They inspire me with more than just their cheering behind the scenes. They inspire me to be better, to reach for something greater, and to recall what it is in life that matters most. After all, there will always be another book. My little ones are only truly mine for the duration of their childhood, and they deserve every ounce of creative love I can offer.

who pens clean fantasy/sci-fi, historical, and romance stories with the
occasional touch of humor, horror, or inspiration. She practices her
brother-induced ninja skills while teaching children or madly typing about
fantastic and impossible creatures. She has lived from coast to coast and now
calls Florida home with her creative husband, four littles, and “friend”
(a.k.a. the zombie locked in her closet). Secretly, she dreams of world
domination and a bottomless supply of cheese.
Congratulations Crystal. I love your passion! Super interview, thank you, Mary. Have a great week.
Thank you, Nicola! Life is lame without passion, eh? 😉
Well, if anyone asks if you have a love child, you can say yes!
I’m not sure that’s something I’d like admitting to, but if it’s a literary one, sure. 😉
Okay, now I’m super-curious why we can’t start with Soulless!!! I’ll start with Timeless to give your latest a review boost.
You’re so sweet, Stephanie. Soulless is an amazing book. It really is, but it picks up right where Moonless leaves off, and there’s not as much character refreshing as in TIMELESS. There’s such a dense cast of characters and abundance of action that it’s best read RIGHT after Moonless.
Great interview. Here’s to keeping imagination alive!
Yes!
