I’ll be posting on Dine off the Page during April’s Blogging from A to Z Challenge with Chef’s tips, recipes, and restaurant reviews. Mr. Happy invited the neighbors over to share the news.

Mr. Happy: I’ve invited you all here to make an announcement. The Biker Chef and Mary are writing a foodie blog on Dine off the Page in April and they need our help.

Willie: (sliding his chair a little closer to the table and grabbing a sausage) The last time I tried to cook, I dropped an egg on my foot.

Billie: I can make a mean omelette.

Lillie: Only if you like all those peppers. blek. Why can’t you make me a plain, old ham and cheese omelette?

Billie: I’m trying to get a little spice in your life, Lillie. Every day, you go to the same dance classes, eat the same boring omelettes, and watch the same lame dance shows.

Lillie: Well, at least I’m not out risking my neck on a motorcycle.

Millie: Girls, please don’t bicker at the table. Remember what your mom said about being polite. Billie, not everyone’s taste buds can handle as much variety as yours, or their lifestyles, for that matter. And, Lillie, live and let live.

Mr. Happy: Thank you, Millie. The chef isn’t exactly asking us to prepare food for the blogposts, but he could use some taste testers and folks to accompany him to restaurants.

Willie: I’m in. (grabs another sausage, Millie gives him a look)

Millie: Remember, you’re watching your cholesterol.

Willie: You’re watching my cholesterol, Millie. I’m watching this meat disappear.

Billie: So, what’s the chef serving up next week?

Mr. Happy: We’re getting a preview here, Willie. April 1 is Andouille sausage.

Willie: Mmm, sausage, good.

Millie: Oh, for Heaven’s sake.

(Billie and Lillie giggle)

Mr. Happy: B is for bread.

Lillie: OMG, Mary makes the best bread!

Mr. Happy: Then, we’ll have a special guest at the table, Candace Simar and chia.

Billie and Lillie: Ch, ch, ch, chia.

Mr. Happy: (getting happier) And, D is for Dutch oven. We’ll have something delicious that day, and E is for eggs.

Billie: Ooo. I’ll help with the omelettes.

Lillie: Not if you’re making mine.

(Billie rolls her eyes.)

Mr. Happy:  That covers the first week. By the second week, I’ll need bigger pants.
(You and me, both, Mr. Happy!) Alright, folks, come back next week, and all of April for a delicious culinary journey!

Go. Create. Inspire!
